Join us in the outdoors!

Greetings to everyone that has found their way to my page, whether you’re new to the outdoors or a seasoned pro. My name is Jeni Garcin and I currently reside in Helena, Montana. I’ve spent my entire life recreating, working in, and just enjoying the great outdoors.

Who Am I?

My outdoor experience includes horseback riding and mule packing in the wilderness, backpacking, hiking, hunting, shed hunting, trail running, mountain biking, guiding horseback trail rides, river rafting, kayaking, cross country and downhill skiing, truck camping, and more.

I recently bought and renovated an RV, which was a fun experience I wrote about here.

Why I’m Here

I started this blog because people have told me I have an interesting story to tell. I’m a woman who does many outdoor activities on my own and have lots of expertise and experience. My aim is to share my knowledge and stories with others and help anyone willing to get out and enjoy the great outdoors.

I have also come to believe everything we do in life touches others somehow. It doesn’t have to be in grand or expensive gestures but in all the small decisions we make. My personal mission is:

“To make small, positive impacts in all I do and keep in mind how all I do affects others, including animals, the earth, and the people I know and don’t know.”

Outdoors Information You’ll Find Here

I write about my adventures, gear reviews, tips and how-to guides. Everyone, from people considering setting foot on a hiking trail to more experienced outdoorspeople are invited to follow along. I also want women who don’t know where to start or are afraid to venture outdoors by themselves to find a comfortable place here. Please ask questions and hopefully you will find solid, tried and true advice from a fellow outdoorswoman.

This website strives to be inclusive of all people, genders, sexual orientations, and races. I am an ally and if you find me saying something that needs correcting, please don’t be afraid to let me know. Know it’s never intentional and I’m trying.

I would love to know what you want to know more about. Thank you for being here and following along on this journey. I hope we can connect with a mutual love of the outdoors and get out on a few dirt paths.
